Listen in…

Watch some fun moments from a Freestyle Clinic held at Heather Bender’s facility Treasure Coast Dressage in Palm City, FL. You will notice a variety of musical themes and hear all the laughter and encouragement from the group. It is an interactive clinic so the more auditors the better! ⭐️

Day One

Riders and auditors will learn all about Beats Per Minute (BPMs) and how to use them to find the right freestyle music. Each rider will go home with their horse’s walk, trot, and canter BPMs.

We will play with music selection and utilize the entire group of riders and auditors to help each horse and rider combination find unique music. It is a really fun, interactive experience!

Day Two

Riders and auditors will learn all about Freestyle Choreography and how to showcase their horse’s strengths to set themselves up for success in the show arena.

Sandra will explain various methods to design choreography and each horse/rider duo will go home with a basic layout to start with. We will also continue to brainstorm music ideas for each horse and rider combination.

“This weekend I had the opportunity to help organize and ride in a USDF GMO Education Initiative Freestyle Clinic with Sandra, hosted by the Gulf Coast DSDCTA.

Sandra was both fun and incredibly educational! The combination of great music, camaraderie, and learning made it an absolute blast. It was a wonderful reminder that dressage is meant to be fun!”

“My daughter and I had the pleasure of attending a freestyle clinic with Sandra Beaulieu, it was truly inspiring and educational, blending technical insight with creative flair.

She helped us understand how to match music to movement, refine transitions, and bring personality into our routines. Her feedback was thoughtful and tailored, making the experience valuable for riders of all levels. We left feeling more confident and excited to develop our own freestyle!
