“Dancing in the Rain” is one of those paintings that seemed to paint itself — a joyful collaboration between me and my incredible partner, Rovandio. On the first day, we created the background together using acrylic paint, water, and paint rollers. I blended the colors with my hands, letting the paint flow freely across the canvas, then threw it for a splatter effect that felt wild and spontaneous — much like a horse playing in the rain.
After it dried overnight, I returned to the canvas to paint the horse. Using a mix of brushes and my hands, I let the image emerge naturally — an abstract horse moving with energy and grace through shades of blue and brown. To me, it feels like motion captured in a moment, full of life, rhythm, and joy.
Rovandio’s was with me through every step. His spirit, his movement, his gentle power — they inspire everything I create. This painting is a celebration of that bond, a reminder of how deeply I love this horse and the art we make together. 💙
