Judge's Commentary {Dressage Test Review}

Not sure what you will score at your first show? Wondering if you competing at the right level for you and your horse? Not sure you are riding the test movements accurately? 

I would love to help you overcome these issues BEFORE you head down that centerline. I have found that CONFIDENCE is the key to success but you cannot feel confident if you are not properly prepared. I know from personal experience what it feels like to feel overwhelmed with the entire process of showing and pursuing your goals in the competition arena.

I became a USDF Learner Judge back in 2001, I was only 19, the youngest to graduate in my program. With over 15 years of judging experience I have learned a lot and would like to offer my experience to you. I know what it feels like to be on the horse in the arena and in the judge's box. Sometimes riders get confused by their scores and think that the judge just doesn't like them.

  • Improve your presentation to leave the judge with a positive first impression. 

You will benefit from this coaching session because it will:

  • Give you an idea of how you will score at your first show. I will also include a score range (lowest possible score and highest possible score) to show you that some judges will look at certain aspects more harshly than others.
  • Help you choose the correct test for your ability, training, and to showcase your horse in the BEST possible way.
  • Help you understand why you have scored high or low in the past and explain previous judge's comments as it relates to you and your horse.
